As a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education, GIZ is dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world. GIZ has a long-standing presence in Mongolia, where it implements a range of development projects across various sectors. Key areas of focus include sustainable economic development, vocational training, sustainable energy and environmental protection.
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Intern to support our team in the academic and institutional reform process in Mongolia through the GMIT project for the duration of around 6 months.
You will support the "German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology" (GMIT) project. The project supports the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology located in Nalaikh, Ulaanbaatar, a leading institution educating world class engineers in Mongolia.
The objective of the assignment is to support the GMIT project team with general research activities, compiling and uploading information and data as well as to support general organizational and administrative processes; and with preparing different events.
Key Responsibilities:
Support GMIT staff regarding general tasks
Researching and compiling information
Support administrative processes in the GIZ project
Support organization of meetings and events, writing meeting minutes
Communication with other units of GIZ and project partners
Preparing and compiling project documents like agendas, concept notes
Support the project monitoring and evaluation
Other tasks as assigned
Required qualifications:
Excellent student or recent graduates with a major in social science or engineering or a comparable subject
Initial practical work experiences (including internships) in relevant fields
Strong ability to quickly analyse and summarize information in writing and presentation
Flexibility, creativity and willingness to learn
Language: English fluent (written and spoken), German is an added advantage
Solid knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Adobe In-design, Photoshop and Illustrator is an advantage
Note: Only candidates who are currently enrolled or recently graduated (not more than 6 months at the beginning of the internship) from a university are eligible for this internship.
